I can mull over paint colors all day, actually for several days, before making a color selection. John appreciates a good color choice, and moved the process along by painting samples for review. Using the little pots of Benjamin Moore paints that I selected, he painted tidy squares of wood, numbering each sample and paint pot.
Rather than painting sample colors directly on a wall, we prefer painted sample boards because we can move them around the room and see how they look in different conditions and different light.
The color winner for the master bathroom is ‘Wythe Blue’ (which, in the illogical world of paint names, is actually more of a green). The final choice was well considered by all.
Not only is the interior painting coming along… until the recent snowfall, Stucco Man and his crew had been busy painting the exterior of the house. It is very satisfying to see the old and new integrated with freshly painted walls and trim.
It’s come a long way in three weeks.
It has been a full year since we broke ground for The Destruction, and we are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
live. enjoy. repeat.
