We invited Jack to tour the master bathroom today.
We wanted to get his reaction to the construction progress.
He was not as excited about the two sinks, and two mirrored cabinets above, as John and I are.
Nor did he seem overly impressed by the generous sized shower (still waiting on generous sized glass doors).
However, the tub did capture his interest.
Maybe he could picture it full of pond water, and diving in to retrieve tennis balls.
John tried to distract him by demonstrating that the hand held shower was perfect for his use.
Overall, Jack seemed a bit perplexed by the bathroom tour.
After leaving the bathroom and passing through the bedroom…
and into the adjacent lounge…
it was clear that this is the room where Jack feels at home.
As you may recall, I had pictured the window seat as a perfect spot for Jack and me to hang out (see “Window Bay” posting July 6, 2012).
As it turns out, the window seat is picture perfect (we tested it with cushions from the sofa).
I can’t say I blame him. It provides a peaceful vantage point from which one can observe the outside world,
as well as a contemplative spot for self-reflection.
live. enjoy. repeat.
